Methodist Women in Britain

We meet monthly, on the third Tuesday evening of each month and enjoy a varied programme of events, all of which help us to live our motto of "equipping, encouraging, enabling".

Methodist Women in Britain is open to all women and everyone is welcome to join us for these evenings, - including men!

Friday, November 11th, 2011   District Committee Meeting. Haxby Methodist Church, York 10.00a.m. coffee for 10.30a.m. start. Finish at 3.00p.m. approximately.

Friday, February 11th to Sunday, February 12th, 2012   District Conference at Cober Hill, Cloughton, Scarborough. Guest Speaker: Mrs. Alison Judd Booking forms and further information available September 1st. Bookings to be made by October 31st but not before October 1st please.

Friday, March 16th, 2011 (N.B. Change of date)   District Committee Meeting. Haxby Methodist Church, York. 10.00a.m. Coffee. 10.30a.m. Holy Communion. Finish at 3.00p.m. approximately.

Saturday, March 24th, 2012   Methodist Women in Britain launch at Central Methodist Church, York From 2.30-4.30pm followed by Refreshments. More details later.

Thursday, May 16th, 2012   District Spring Day at Tower Hill Methodist Church, Hessle Speaker: Mrs. Kath Harwood 10.00am coffee for 10.30am start Finish at 3.00p.m. approximately.

Friday, June 16th, 2012   Summer Evening Event. Lidgett Grove Methodist Church, York 5.00p.m. onwards: buffet meal. 7.00p.m. speaker: Rev. Margaret Woodlock-Smith, Retired Minister, Hull West Circuit. Tickets will be available from the March Committee meeting.

Travelling instructions for venues will be sent to all circuit secretaries or circuit contacts. Unless otherwise stated, packed lunches are required for day events. Drinks are available at the venues. If crèche facilities are required at any event please contact Joan Dyer in advance.
